Prince of Himalayas - Leh

The Himalayan town of Leh is a paradise on Earth. This 9-day private and fully guided tour of Leh will show you a superabundance of attractions to visit surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, culture, and amazing people. This trip to the towns of Leh and Ladakh will be an experience that will stay with you forever.

As you enter Leh, you will be left mesmerized by the majestic and jagged mountains all around with a blanket of snow covering these peaks. The Leh Palace, Shanti Stupa, the village of Sankar, and the vibrant Leh market are some of the places to explore.

The captivating Sham Valley, the confluence of the rivers Indus and Zanskar, the Magnetic Hill, the Spituk and Alchi monasteries are some of the points of attraction in Ladakh. You also get to explore the Shey Palace, which is the summer palace of Ladakh's royal family and makes for a grand tour.

Moving to the Nubra Valley through the Khardung La Pass will give you a lifetime of memories to cherish. The exciting Pangong Lake with its beautiful surroundings make for a thrilling stop on the way to Chang La Pass, and back to Leh.

Tour Itinerary

Day 1 Delhi, Welcome to Incredible India
You will be greeted & assisted by our representative at Delhi international airport and later transferred to your hotel to check in. Remaining time is at leisure till next day.
Day 2 Delhi to Leh/Ladakh by Flight
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Delhi airport for your flight to Leh/Ladakh. You will be greeted & assisted by our representative at Leh airport and later transferred to your hotel to check in. Spend rest of the day free at leisure to acclimatize the weather. A land like no other with a superabundance of attractions to visit and fabulous landscapes, amazing people, and culture, Ladakh is truly a heaven on Earth. In evening visit the vibrant Leh market. Explore local handicraft and try some local cuisine. Tip: Stay hydrated to acclimatize yourself to the drop of oxygen level in Ladakh. Breakfast
Day 3 Explore Leh
Relish a delicious breakfast and then proceed to visit the beautiful Shey, Thiksey and Hemis Monasteries.  Perched on a mountain, you would get nice view of Indus River from the Thiksey monastery. Hemis Gompa is famous as the biggest and richest monasteries in Leh.  Later you will visit the Leh Palace which was the summer palace of the royal family of Ladakh.  Stay overnight in your hotel at Leh. Day 4 Leh - Nubra, Enchanting Nubra Valley Awaits!
This morning post breakfast travel to Nubra Valley, en-route visiting Khardung La Pass (Highest motorable pass in the world at 18,380 ft). This pass will leave you mesmerised and will give you memories to cherish for a lifetime. Take a short break for coffee and snacks, sip your coffee or tea by witnessing breathtaking view of mountains.  After descending in the valley, drive on to Hunder, home to the highest desert in the world, experience the beautiful scenic beauty and bactrian camel rides in Nubra Valley, which is a gem beyond the reach of chaos, bestowed with stark tranquillity. Nubra eco cottages On arrival check-in to Eco Mud Brick Cottages at Mystique Meadows Earth Home. Pay a visit to the Buddhist monasteries in Nubra Valley. Later you will explore the villages to learn the lifestyle and culture of people living in the northernmost region of India.  Enjoy a double-humped Camel Safari in Sand Dunes as you watch the sunset. Day 5 Nubra Valley - Turtuk Village - Nubra
This morning after breakfast, drive to Turtuk (which was first time opened for tourists in 2010). The village of Turtuk is one of the only Balti Villages in India.  Take an excursion to the village to explore a traditional way of rural life. The village's inhabitants still use traditional utensils which are crafted from stone.  By walking around the village gives you the perfect opportunity of meeting local people and seeing different village practices at close quarters. The village also offers views of a beautiful valley, part of Shyok Valley. On clear days you can have a glimpse of K2 Mountain peak located across the border in Pakistan.  Explore the gompas located on the plateau above Shyok River and an old royal house.  Overnight stay in Nubra Valley. Day 6 Nubra - Pangong Lake
After an early breakfast, check out from Nubra and drive to next exciting destination of Pangong Lake. Pangong is originally comes from Tibetan word Pangong Tso which means high grassland lake.  Pangong lake is world's highest brackish lake, situated at 4350 metres above the sea level and it is 134kms long.  You will feel very close to mother nature at Pangong Lake with its breathtaking surroundings.  On sunny day, you may see 7 colour formations in the crystal-clear saltwater lake.  Enjoy a full day of sightseeing around Pangong Lake and late evening, you may witness thrilling sunset on the bank of Pangong lake.  Overnight stay in the tented camp at bank of Pangong lake. Day 7 Pangong Lake To Leh/Ladakh Via Chang La Pass
This morning post tempting breakfast at hotel, check out from your camp at bank of Pangong lake and drive back to Leh.  Today, your Ladakh itinerary demands you to relax and explore the beautiful corners on your journey back to Leh. On the way go for refreshment stop at Chang La Pass situated at 5,360meters above sea level and It is 3rd highest motor-able road of the world. Here you can enjoy beautiful background of mountains with sip of your hot tea or coffee.  Later continue your journey to Leh. On arrival check-in to your hotel, Evening free for leisure. Spend your evening exploring the local surroundings. Overnight in Leh. Breakfast
Day 8 Leh - Delhi by Flight
After breakfast, check-out from your hotel and you will be transferred to Leh airport for your flight to Delhi.  On arrival, you will be assisted at the Delhi airport and transferred to your Hotel for overnight stay. Rest of the day is free at leisure. Breakfast
Day 9 Delhi Departure
This Morning after breakfast checkout from your hotel and at appropriate time you will be driven to Delhi international airport for your onward journey. Board your flight and fly back with memories to cherish for life. Tour ends. Breakfast

Important Info

Booking Policy
Once you’ve selected your desired tour, all you need to do is forward a deposit of 20% plus air and train tickets costs per booking per trip to secure your place. You won’t need to pay your final balance until 60 days prior to your tour start date. If your booking is made within 60 days of the tour start date, then the full amount is payable at the time of booking. Note: International and domestic airline tickets and rail tickets are subject to full payment at the time of booking and are subject to respective airline booking, and cancellation policies.
Cancellation Policy
  • Note: We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance with covid related disruption cover.
  • You can cancel right up to 30 days before the tour starts and we will refund your full land deposit and any progress payments made by you within 14 business days.
  • Note: Cancellation and rebooking policies are only valid for land part of tour not International and domestic airline tickets and train tickets.
  • Note: International and domestic airline tickets and train tickets are subject to full payment at the time of booking and are subject to respective airline and train operators policies for booking, rebooking and cancellation.
From 30 days before tour start date:-
  • If your tour is cancelled due to government travel restrictions, your deposit and any progress payments will be carried forward as full credit towards future travel with us with Zero fees.
  • If you leave a trip for any reason after it has commenced, we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services. Vibrant India Tours will endeavour to recover as much of your funds as we can on your behalf or negotiate a credit for future use.
  • If you fail to join a tour, join it after departure, or leave it prior to its completion, no refund will be made. Vibrant India Tours will endeavour to recover as much of your funds as we can on your behalf or negotiate a credit for future use.
  • If you have to amend or cancel the tour from 30 days before the tour start date to the end date of the tour, any cost arising from it will be your liability and payable by you within 24 hours of amendment.
  • If the tour needs to be amended or cancelled due to sickness or covid related reason, we are not obliged to make any refunds for unused services. Vibrant India Tours will endeavour to recover as much of your funds as we can on your behalf or negotiate a credit for future use. Any cost arising from it will be your liability and payable by you within 24 hours.
  • A cancellation or rebooking will only be effective when we receive written confirmation of the cancellation.

Single Traveller Supplement
For solo travellers, a mandatory single supplement applies.
Passport Validity
Customers are required to provide valid passport details either at the time of purchase or no later than 45 days prior to the departure date. Failure to do so may result in the cancellation of the booking. In this instance, customers will be responsible for any costs and fees incurred.
Luggage
You will be responsible for all your personal belongings whilst on the tour. With regards to domestic airline, default Check-in luggage is 15kg and Carry-on luggage is 7kg.
Fitness Level Required / Mobility
Our vehicles are not equipped with wheelchair access, so, unfortunately, our tours are currently not suitable for wheelchair users and those less mobile.
Please note: a general level of fitness will be required. If you have any concerns please consult your healthcare provider prior to purchase/travel.
Sightseeing
Please note: In the event that entrance to a site is affected by changes in operating hours or public holiday closures, your itinerary where possible, will be adjusted or similar activity will be offered in its place (subject to availability).
Voluntary Changes
This includes booking changes requested by you, including but not limited to those changes requiring an airline ticket or a Purchase Confirmation reissue.
  • Changes - $100.00 per booking + any additional charges applied by the airline/cruise company/accommodation/other travel providers.
Name Changes Due To Passenger Error
