Day 2: SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE
Start your day with a tempting breakfast at your hotel and be ready for Slum and Bollywood tours. Today we will take you to slum, Bollywood and all the places in Mumbai where Slumdog Millionaire was filmed in Mumbai. SLUM TOUR Your day will start with the tour of Dharavi Slum. Which is considered "Asia's largest slum". You will go for a long walk in the company of a guide who will have lot of stories to share with. Experience a wide range of activities such as recycling, pottery-making, embroidery, soap-making, and leather tanning. Most of these things are created in innovative ways and in very confined spaces. The delicious aroma from tiny bakeries and sweet shops, the exotic smell of soaps and cosmetics creates new magical incense, one can feel instantaneously. When passing through the residential spaces, you will feel the sense of community and spirit that exists in the area. A tour through Dharavi’s narrow alleys is quite an adventure, and you will leave with an enlightened sense of the purpose and determination that exists in the area. CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI TERMINUS From Dharavi, Your next stop will be the Mumbai Manmad Pipeline also known as (MMPL) and railway station named Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST). A popular Bollywood shoot location, the station staged some of the most moving scenes in Danny Boyle’s multi-Oscar-winning flick, Slumdog Millionaire (2008). Formerly called Victoria Terminus, Mumbai’s main railway station is a hub of organized chaos, where millions of the city’s residents – and hundreds of confused tourists – hurry through each day. BOLLYWOOD TOUR After your walking tour of the Dharavi slums, see the glamorous side of Mumbai as you begin the tour of Bollywood. Get behind the scenes glimpse of Bollywood filmmaking. You will be taken onto a movie set to witness filming and be given exciting insight into the mechanics of the largest film industry in the world. You will be escorted through a specially created studio for an intimate look behind the scenes at technicians at work. Depending on the shoot schedule, you may even get the chance to peek inside a film star’s makeup room and pose for souvenir snapshots with some Bollywood stars of today. Next, you will step out to a dance show based on infamous routines from Bollywood films. The talented dancers will perform 5 Bollywood routines for the audience, and then you will have the opportunity to try it yourself! We will also show you VFX clip, how makers use visual effects in Bollywood movies. JUHU & CHOWPATTY BEACH Then, drive past the homes of famous Bollywood stars in exclusive area of Juhu and visit Chowpatty beach. It is a favourite evening spot for courting couples, families, and anyone out to enjoy what passes for fresh air. Watching the glorious sunsets from this beach is a sight worth seeing. Evening at Chowpatty Beach in Mumbai is more like a carnival, kids screaming on ferris wheels or taking pony rides, astrologers making a quick buck, monkey shows, snake charmers and so on. One can enjoy lip smacking snacks that are served here like Bhelpuri, pao bhaji, batata puri, sev puri, ice cream, fresh green tender coconuts, Chaat and many more. Meals: Breakfast, Lunch Included.
Day 3: DEPARTURE MUMBAI
Check out from your hotel and get a transfer to Mumbai International Airport. Board your return flight and fly back home with memories to cherish for life. Tour ends. Meals: Breakfast Included.
