Day 1: COCHIN (KOCHI), WELCOME TO GOD’S OWN COUNTRY!!
Upon arrival in the God’s Own Country at Kochi, one of our representatives will assist you with hotel transfers. KATHAKALI DANCE Add a cultural tinge to the evening with a Kathakali dance performance at a popular cultural centre in Fort Kochi. The, colourful dance is not merely a dance. It is an art form that comprises powerful storytelling with ritual, drama, and music. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel. Meals: Welcome Dinner Included.
Day 2: COCHIN (KOCHI), ANTIQUES SHOPPING & COOKING CLASS
Your second day of the tour starts with a delicious breakfast followed by a guided sightseeing tour of Kochi/Cochin. Explore St. Francis Church- the oldest church in India, the imposing Santa Cruz basilica built by the Portuguese, the heritage sites of Fort Kochi and shop for antiques and spices. Chinese fishing nets, the Dutch Palace and Jewish Synagogue are other highlights of the tour. You will have several opportunities to find prized souvenirs such as spices and antiques while shopping at Jew Street. COOKING CLASS Later, visit the home of Mrs. Nimmy Paul, a renowned Keralan Chef. Enjoy a traditional Hindu food "Sadhya" served on a banana leaf, an extensive meal usually served at weddings and other festivals. Nimmy will explain the traditions and history behind the dishes. During the afternoon Nimmy will lead a cooking demonstration in which you can also participate. Rest of the evening is at leisure till next morning. Meals: Breakfast Included.
Day 3: MUNNAR, SCENIC DRIVE
Scenic drive from Kochi to Munnar is the highlight of the third day. Have breakfast and head to Munnar, probably one of the most enchanting hill stations in South India. Drive through lofty mountains of Western Ghats and admire the natural beauty of rolling hills and green valleys. Spend some time at the stunning Valara Waterfall while travelling to Munnar. Rest of the evening is at leisure till next morning. Stay overnight at Hotel in Munnar. Meals: Breakfast Included.
Day 4: MUNNAR, NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast start a sightseeing tour of Munnar. Visit the Tea Museum, where you learn about the processing of the favorite brew of India. In the afternoon visit the Eravikulam National Park, the high attitude sanctuary known for the Nilgiri Tahr and the Neelakurinji flowers that bloom once in 12 years. Later proceed to Mattupetty Dam and capture the captivating views. Activities like horse riding and boating add more fun to your visit to the Mattupetty Lake. The Shola Forests is sure to amaze Thrill seekers and birdwatchers with its trekking and bird watching opportunities. Viewpoint, and Echo Point are other pit stops of the tour. Day 5: THEKKADY, WILDLIFE BOAT RIDE
On the fifth day, a picturesque drive to Periyar National Park takes you to one of the lushest jungles in India. Check-in at the hotel and later be a part of wildlife boat ride over the beautiful Periyar Lake in Periyar National Park, one of the prominent elephants and tiger reserves in India and admire the gorgeous natural surroundings. You can explore various species of animals and birds and might get a glimpse of wild elephants, tigers, boars and bison. Overnight stay in Thekkady. Meals: Breakfast Included.
Day 6: KUMARAKOM, BACKWATERS HOUSEBOAT
Today, we will take you to Kumarakom, often referred to as the ‘Venice of the East’, with its meandering lagoons, coconut trees, endless rows of paddy fields. Once you reach this paradise, a smooth transfer will be provided to jetty point to embark on your excursion through the mesmerizing backwaters on a houseboat. Undoubtedly, this houseboat cruise in the backwaters is the most outstanding highlight of a holiday in Kerala. It will be a unique and exclusive experience in your lifetime. You will be cruising along the village sides and paddy fields witnessing the core life of the Kerala villages. Spend your afternoon while sailing through the gorgeous backwaters of Kumarakom. Day 7: MARARI, BEACH RESORT
Today is all about relaxing and chilling out. Soak up and enjoy the serenity on the deserted sandy beaches. This beach in Kerala is eternal with coconut palm trees and golden sands. The indolent pace of local life makes vacationing near the Marari beach a reviving experience. Your day is free for leisure activities. You may choose to participate in an Ayurveda Massage.
Roam around the beach as there are plenty of sightseeing places where you can spend some quality time with your loved ones. If you are there in the month of August, you may also try and enjoy Snake Boat Races. Adventure freaks can also choose for sea surfing, parasailing, water skiing, and deep-sea fishing. Day 8: GOA
After breakfast, get a transfer to Cochin Airport from where you will board a flight to Goa. One of our representatives will assist you at Goa airport for a smooth transfer to your beach resort. Day 9: NORTH GOA
After breakfast, leave for a guided sightseeing tour of North Goa. Visit Dona Paula and explore the magnificent views of harbour of Marmagoa. Later head to Old Goa, the former Goan capital and explore the Portuguese influence while visiting popular churches such as the world heritage site of Basilica of Bom Jesus and Se Cathedral, one of the largest churches in Goa. Church of St Cajetan, Church of St Francis of Assisi and Church of St Augustine ruins are other highlights of Old Goa. Visit Baga Beach which is filled with exuberance and youthful vibe. Day 10: SOUTH GOA
After breakfast start a sightseeing tour of South Goa. Visit, Mangueshi Temple, Shanta Durga Temple, Colva Beach, among others. Later visit Madgaon, the headquarters of South Goa district. Margao’s colonial quarter Largo De lgreja is a historical church square, surrounded by old buildings that have their own charm. The church is one of Goa’s grandest churches datable to 1564, when it was built. Its architecture epitomizes Indian Baroque style of architecture, with interiors having regal feel throughout. Day 12: MUMBAI, SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE TOUR
Post breakfast, check-out from your resort and head to Goa Airport. Board a flight to Mumbai.
Arrive at Mumbai airport, and one of our representatives will be in your assistance for hotel transfer. After hotel transfer get ready for Slum and Bollywood tours. Today we will take you to slum, Bollywood and all the places in Mumbai where Slumdog Millionaire was filmed in Mumbai.
SLUM TOUR Your day will start with the tour of Dharavi Slum. Which is considered "Asia's largest slum". You will go for a long walk in the company of a guide who will have lot of stories to share with. Experience a wide range of activities such as recycling, pottery-making, embroidery, soap-making, and leather tanning. The delicious aroma from tiny bakeries and sweet shops, the exotic smell of soaps and cosmetics creates new magical incense, one can feel instantaneously. When passing through the residential spaces, you will feel the sense of community and spirit that exists in the area. A tour through Dharavi’s narrow alleys is quite an adventure, and you will leave with an enlightened sense of the purpose and determination that exists in the area. CHHATRAPATI SHIVAJI TERMINUS From Dharavi, Your next stop will be the Mumbai Manmad Pipeline also known as (MMPL) and railway station named Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus (CST). A popular Bollywood shoot location, the station staged some of the most moving scenes in Danny Boyle’s multi-Oscar-winning flick, Slumdog Millionaire (2008). Formerly called Victoria Terminus, Mumbai’s main railway station is a hub of organized chaos, where millions of the city’s residents – and hundreds of confused tourists – hurry through each day. BOLLYWOOD TOUR After your walking tour of the Dharavi slums, see the glamorous side of Mumbai as you begin the tour of Bollywood. Get behind the scenes glimpse of Bollywood filmmaking. You will be taken onto a movie set to witness filming and be given exciting insight into the mechanics of the largest film industry in the world. Depending on the shoot schedule, you may even get the chance to peek inside a film star’s makeup room and pose for souvenir snapshots with some Bollywood stars of today. Next, you will step out to a dance show based on infamous routines from Bollywood films. The talented dancers will perform 5 Bollywood routines for the audience, and then you will have the opportunity to try it yourself! We will also show you VFX clip, how makers use visual effects in Bollywood movies. JUHU & CHOWPATTY BEACH Then, drive past the homes of famous Bollywood stars in exclusive area of Juhu and visit Chowpatty beach.
